Yes. Our chef creates healthy nutritious meals made in our licensed kitchen. Our team of kitchen volunteers add fresh salads, sandwiches and desserts.

We charge $8.50 for the 2 meals delivered, the hot and cold. Meals on Wheels, with the support of generous donors, subsidizes the other costs.

We accept credit cards and charges are made biweekly. We can also invoice you so you can pay by check.

Each day 12-20 volunteers come to the office and kitchen to pick up the carefully packed meals. They drive to the clients home and hand deliver the food.

We leave the kitchen as soon as the food is packed at around 10.30. Some delivery routes take over an hour and a half to complete so it can depend on where you live. We hope to deliver to all our clients no later than 1pm.

We can leave your meals in a cooler at the front door.

No. Anyone who is homebound or needs our service is eligible to get Meals on Wheels. Our clients range in age from 45 to 104 years old.

We rely on grants and generous donations from the public. Local food businesses and urban farms donate to us and our team of volunteers keep costs under control and make it all happen.

Some donors become sustaining donors and do a recurring donation of $10-20 per month.

Others tell their family and friends to nominate San Pedro Meals on Wheels for their AMAZON SMILE charity of choice.

If you have an old or unused car you can donate to us as parts of the CARS program.
